Our party of 8 arrived 730pm and was seated at our reserved table in the lower atrium. Our hostess was great. The server Sofia was teriffic. The buffet was impecable. The bellydancers were pure professional entertainers and were gorgeous! What I noticed was the wide variance of patrons from the 4 corners of the world and everyone was enjoying the common links the atmosphere, the food and service,& the entertainers. The owner was very gracious and the restaurant also had a seperate gift and grocery area that we shopped in after dinner. We stayed til 10:30 and there was no rushing us to leave as some restaurants like to do. The washrooms were clean and the overall appearance was so hygenic it was a pleasure being there and we all look forward to returning and bringing more guests. Half the fun was introducing the restaurant to those that are coming the first time.
It's not worth the $ you spend for a buffet - it was $22.95 + Tax + Tips. Drinks extra. Ridiculous for the price as well as the food, overcooked lamb and the quality of all the food were much below the Mid-Eastern standards. The desserts were hopeless, the baklawa was simply lousy. I would not recommend to any of my friends. The price for Sunday lunch for $$ is too high.
If you're a bit hesitant about stepping away from the usual fare and trying something different, fear not -- Jerusalem has you covered. This spacious and gracious restaurant has much more than the standard buffet bore. Dabble with grilled eggplant and delicious salads, try out the excellent falafel and souvlaki and enjoy other surprising treats, like smoked cheese with rosemary. The main dishes are wonderful, from roast lamb and rice and stuffed filet of sole to spinach pies and incredible stews. There are at least 10-12 different items on the weekend bar. The desserts are terrific, including heavenly baklava and amazing fresh fruit. One of the best aspects, however, is the service. Our server, Magdi (and I hope I got that right), was always on hand, refilling a glass and even offering to retrieve a second piece of baklava when I mentioned to my wife I might have another. Other staff also pitched in with no complaints. A wonderful dining experience and highly recommended to all -- adventurous or not.
We had the buffet. Food was great, live entertainment, nice place. It doesn't look all that great from the outside so it was a little surprising once we got in. there's a sunken atrium in the middle and three other seating areas. A guy was playing live arabic music. It was really neat experience. there were a lot of birthdays happening and the singer got pretty creative with "happy birthday". what was also surprising was when a belly dancer appeared and danced around the restaurant. everyone was taking photos and clapping. it was a pretty happening place. I'd go there again sometime, except that it was a little far! I can see companies having Christmas parties there. Definitely something to talk about at the water cooler!
I wanted to say that I went to this restaurant again how wever the food is great, and they've forgotten to serve dessert in their lucnh buffet, the servers are great, if they can get some more help it would be good. I am not saying that the servers are slow, I am saying that they are Excellent but their is not enough of them. It would more convenient if they would clean their dishes a little more thoroughly, as their is stil quite a bit of marks on the dishes and not the cleaniest. By the way they have the greatwest Shawarma's.
