François Mackay was finishing up his college degree in administration when one of his professors, a real estate broker by trade and professor of finances on the side, nudged him to go for his real estate license. He took the advice, and with his credentials in hand, joined his mother's real estate firm. In 2002, with big dreams, François took the reigns of the agency.
Working out of his garage with the help of one secretary, François' successes started piling up. By 2010, his little firm was ready for a big step. He went independent, founding Groupe Mackay in the fall of that year and moving his team of nine brokers and five administrative staff to a beautiful two-floor office in Lachine. Today Groupe Mackay counts a team of 40 brokers, assisted by 12 administrative staff and sells more homes than any other agency in Quebec.
