Pulp Kitchen has been operating a juice bar in the east end since 2001 - but recently, the Queen Street East fixture has shifted to a new location, on the other side of Broadview Avenue, with a 22 seat sit-down restaurant.
New owner Alexandro Francisco de Oliveira is making his mark with the new site after he purchased the juice bar a year ago. He had come to Canada from Brazil in 2012, initially to study English, but soon decided to open a business.
After saving enough to do so with work as a personal trainer, he spoke with the owners of Pulp Kitchen and took the opportunity to check out the business by working for a time as an assistant manager.

The team at Pulp Kitchen are among the most trusted aficionados of cold-pressed juices in Riverside. At the compact take-out counter flagged by an orange exterior, you can pick up tasty vegetarian wraps and salads as well as freshly pressed juices and smoothies. Juices can be delivered through Uber Eats and generally stand a three-day shelf life.
