The food dishes from this place are amazing. The chefs really know what they are doing - when they feel like actually cooking. It is 50/50 whether you are going to receive excellent food or terrible food.
Mentioning this matter to the Chinese-Canadian staff has them pretending that they don't understand English, when just a second ago they were engaging you in conversation. They will listen to you, nodding, and then say something like "more hot" to answer your complaint. It is really disconcerting to not be able to send any criticism back to the kitchen.
When they are good they are really good, when they are bad they are really bad - and if you complain about it prepare for disappointment. The staff has a long memory. I think the recent downturn in food and service specifically for me and my friends was because we did once stand by our complaint and asked to speak to someone from the kitchen. I guess they can't forgive us like we were ready to forgive them
I wish it would be as easy to call for a pickup order of their food, but you might take home a pile of terrible food based on the hit-or-miss kitchen ethic. One of my friends swears by their pickup/take out service over their dine-in - but I am not courageous enough with money to attempt.
I know this is a busy place sometimes, but for the prices you pay the food should be more consistent.
