Cutler And Gross

British eyewear brand Cutler and Gross is framing the way Toronto sees bespoke eyewear. Named after optometrists Graham Cutler and Tony Gross, the luxury brand specializes in quality eyewear. With a meticulous production cycle of approximately six to eight weeks for a pair of handcrafted, made-to-fit glasses, the degree of personalization is the epitome of Cutler and Gross.

Cutler and Gross needn’t flaunt its logo on the frames; the glasses speak for themselves. Instead, the sleek, gold-foiled logo is embedded on the inside of the frames. “It’s your little secret,” says Canadian operations manager and co-director Golta Mohammadi.

Golta wore her first pair of Cutler and Gross glasses, the 521s, to her interview in 2009. Since then, her vision for the business has never been clearer and her glasses collection has never been more refined. “I’m helping to keep this craft alive. We’re forgetting how important it is that we still make things with our hands. It’s a trade. It’s an art.”
