We visited Adega for my husband's birthday after trying to find a restaurant that stood out to us-something a little different than all of the joints offering duck confit and steak frites. Adega is a truly unique experience, from the atmosphere to the menu and the service. They started us with fresh bread and marinated olives. Then provided an amuse bouche, totally unexpected and wonderful. Our appetizers we ended up spitting, and I'm glad we did, as they both were great. Our entrees were also some of the best we've had, and were cooked to perfection. We will be back. If you are worried about Portuguese food not being to your palate, don't. The menu is extensive without being overwhelming, and you will like whatever you order.
My wife and I stumbled accross this place during a Toronto visit. Superb food! The service was excellent as well. We will definitely go back the next time we're in TO. yum!
VERY VERY VERY pleasant food, GREAT service, quiet and relaxing yet vibrant atmosphere. Very comfortable place where anyone can enjoy their food and drinks. REALLY friendly staff too.
My friends and I love this restaurant. We make this our monthly get together… over great food, fabulous wine and to die for desserts. The owners are magnificent and treat you as if you’re family and the staff is impeccable, very friendly and most of all very attentive .The place is very warm and inviting, we’re always made to feel like we're the only ones there. If you want the royal treatment...give them a try.
Only five days in Toronto, but two visits of the restaurant. I find very well meals, excellent service and a nice ambience. Will recommend everywhere on our planet

Adega’s Cataplana Fresh Fish Stew starts with a bouillabaisse of mussels, shrimp, clams and squid. The stew is aromatic and packed with flavour! Everything is cooked in a cataplana, a Portuguese steamer that steams all the fresh seafood to perfection. After the fish is steamed, it is stewed in a house-made tomato broth.
