We were really disappointed with our visit to this restaurant sometime at the beginning of May. We ahd frequented the Thai place next door but never Santo's and finally made it. Unfortunately they had a very bland atmosphere i.e. none and bad service. They were careless, never did a quality or check or came back to see if we want anything else, etc. The food was MEH I wont come back and obviously didn't tip.
Our dining experience at Santos this evening was unpleasant almost from the getgo on account of a rude waiter, severely lacking in table manners. He repeatedly cleared dishes before we were finished, made errors on dinner orders, and continuously paced up and down the aisle beside our table, looking at his watch each time. The grand finale was when he kicked us out of the restaurant before we were finished our meals. 'Other customers are waiting for this table, so please leave' was the general message. A quick glance around the restaurant showed there were 8 empty tables. When this fact was brought to his attention, he persisted. The manager supported the waiter and stated that the patrons waiting for the table had reserved it and were unwilling to sit anywhere else. We asked the patrons if that was true and they said not at all. In fact, they expressed they didn't care where they sat. While we don't know exactly why the restaurant wanted us out, we can speculate it was because we had two babies with us. Kicking people out is rude and unprofessional, but doing so because of the babies is downright discriminatory. Rest assured, we will never dine at Santos again!
This veal dish with four cheeses is amazing; It is consistently good everytime we go there. I also like to vegetables. The service is ok, nothing to write home about. Weekends are busy at dinnertime, so call ahead.
We read the reviews here and went to the restaurant... the food is ok... But the service is really poor. We went there @ 8 something, but they were about to close. However, we need to wait for a while for food. The worst thing I faced was one of the waiters asked us for more tips..... I had NEVER face this situation in my entire life.....
WE'VE EATEN AT sANTO'S ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST 2-3 YEARS, OFTEN WITH FRIENDS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
