The Open Vault is a community centre that offers rental space for projects and events related to the arts. Jeremy Smyth runs the centre with the purpose of engaging creative minds in the community of Oshawa, as well as promoting volunteerism.
“We focus on social and environmental causes here,” says Jeremy. “We do that through arts and community initiatives – we have studio spaces and we run galleries and do consignment for small businesses and artists. We also have music events and anything to help bring awareness to social causes.”
The Open Vault, located in the heart of downtown Oshawa, is run completely by volunteers.
