When people think of a church, they usually think of a building with stained-glass windows and peaked doorways. In reality, it is not the building that is the church but rather the community of people who use that building. St. John’s is blessed to have a vibrant community of faith led by people who are passionate and devoted.
We are a very active parish seeking to follow and serve Christ in our world, our community and our lives. If you crave community, have a passion for good music and are interested in growing in the Christian faith, then this parish is for you!
Full disclosure: We don’t pretend to have all of the answers. We will tell you what we believe the gospel message is saying about the topics that are raised. This truly is about walking a faith journey together. Come, challenge and be challenged. It will help all of us grow.Sunday Mornings
9:00 to 10:00 a.m. – The Sacred Table
This service is our weekly community celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The service is deeply rooted in our Anglican Eucharistic Tradition. Throughout the year, we explore different expressions of the Anglican Eucharist.
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – The Open Door
Every Sunday we gather at 10:30 a.m. to listen to uplifting music, pray and open the Word of God together. This hour-long service is intended to focus on the Word of God and is designed both for the person just embarking on their journey of Christian faith as well as someone who is well along the path.
11:30 a.m. to Noon – The Forum
Designed as a complement to The Open Door, The Forum is the place where you can explore deep questions about faith. You can ask a question in person or, if you prefer, Tweet a question to our Twitter account (@sjymforum). The preacher from that morning’s Open Door gathering will be at the front and will address any questions that come.more...See more text
