Although the atmosphere was calm and the music was soothing, my visit to Lena's was not very pleasant. The gentleman who took my order and eventually gave it to me was very cold and not very friendly. When I did get my food, my roti was not fresh, it was almost hard and the meat wasn't savoury. The doubles were good, very good chutney that went with them, and the pholourie was tasty as well, then again, when isn't pholourie tasty?

I went to Lena's on Mother's day to treat my mom to a traditional Trinidadian breakfast. Man were they busy! Although they were busy, they were very efficent and the breakfast buffet was delicious. They had the best customer service out of any roti shop I had been to. The girl at the frong was very friendly, and I believe the guy that was her dad made sure all my needs were met. I have never seen such a clean restaurant, and I'm glad the original Lena's is back!
Their food is the best Caribbean restaurant available. No other place can touch the excellent dhalpourri and paratha rotis they make. The food is not oily, very tasty and the atmosphere makes you feel like yuh home. Strongly recommend this restaurant. Now that the original Lena's owners are back, the food is even better. Unfortunately no BBQ :(
However their customer service is second to none - friendly and very courteous!!!
