Chubby's Restaurant

We are hoping to make reservations for June 1st 2019, for the 1st dinner sitting. There may be as many as 15 - 20 people. Will know in a couple weeks exactly how many for sure. We were there at Christmas with a church group. I am bringing my cousins for the experience. I know they will love it!

Always awesome food. Staff are the best. Very friendly. Pies all homemade and out of this world. We LOVE Chubbies!!

Didn't make reservations, but....

From out of town and had heard good things about Chubby's food but didn't realize that reservations were recommended. Scolded unpleasantly twice by server cutting roast beef for not having made reservations. Restaurant was greedy enough to let us in without reservations, only to make us feel very uncomfortable afterwards. That's just plain rude! Food was excellent and other than the loutish behaviour of the one server, service by the others was excellent. Pitty!

The buffet on our visit contained roast beef and chicken (didnt try the chicken) which was excellent. Missed the wonderful personality of Earl & Mary, they always provided great conversation and entertainment. Unfortunately the next generation do not have that outgoing personality. Ralph was very hard to understand and sometimes could be considered rude. Wait staff were very friendly but a little disorganized. Overall the food was fantastic and would highly recommend it, you would have a hard time to fine any better in a county homestyle atmosphere.

The food was fabulous. The service needs some improvement, plates were piled on tables and the waitress took forever to give us our drink order. She is too old to be serving tables or she needs more experience. Overall not bad.
