I just moved to the area, and called A1 for a price quote. The agent treated me as though I was bothering her, and made no effort to disguise her unhappy mood. She yelled across the room to another agent in order to confirm a price quote. She placed me on hold without notice, so that I was left wondering what was wrong with the phone line. I hung up and called back three separate times. When I asked her to let me know the next time I would be placed on hold, she raised her voice, and began yelling at me that she had to put me on hold to get the information I wanted. I responded by saying that I understood she needed to place me on hold, but that I would appreciate being told I was being put on hold. She continued raising her voice, yelling at me rudely, and finally hung up. I called back, and asked for a manager. The gentleman who answered refused to allow me to speak to a manager. When I asked the gentleman for his name, he asked me "Why do you want to know my name?" I responded that I wanted his name in order to confirm the agent with whom I was speaking, and that it was customary for customer service representatives to provide a name to customers who requested it. He refused to give me his name, and began to also yell at me on behalf of the woman who originally spoke with me. I let them know I would never call back. I have taken taxis for years, and I have never been confronted with such a rude, disrespectful, crass, and shockingly unprofessional staff. If you believe you deserve conflict-free, professional treatment as a paying customer, please take your business elsewhere. * this review is based on my personal experience, and personal opinion.
