Where to find lovely lemon desserts in Vancouver
The aptly named Coffeebar is not too far from Salty Tongue Café and presents some tough competition in the lemon coconut bar department, especially given that Coffeebar’s is twice the size. Just sayin’. The ambiance in which to enjoy said lemon bar is also lovely; the floor-to-ceiling windows provide lots of natural light, even on the greyest of Vancouver days.

A caffeine lover’s haven, Coffee Bar offers a clean modern layout and delicious espresso drinks prepared with beans from 49th Parallel. The Gastown location is a spacious architect-designed space with plenty of seating, making it an easy spot to meet a friend for coffee and snacks while also enjoying the up-beat atmosphere of the historic neighbourhood.

They serve coffee from local roaster 49th Parallel and make most of their treats and lunch offerings in-house. The seating provides interesting views into gorgeously renovated Gaoler’s Mews or out onto active Water Street. A great meeting place and event space.
