Moksha is a great workout with lots of different sequences depending on the teacher - each class is different and can be a warm or hot room - bring a towel and lots of water - love moksha yoga studios - they are always so nice!
Heat up your yoga practice and take a class at Moksha, where lessons take place in a hot room warmed to 36.6-degrees to help stretch and loosen over-worked and tired muscles. Take a drop-in karma class and warm your heart with the knowledge that your donation (minimum $5) is going towards the studio’s chosen charity of the month, such as the homeless youth initiative Covenant House. Be prepared to sweat! Moskha Yoga is a boutique hot yoga studio suitable for all fitness levels. The studio is clean and the community is warm and encouraging. Moksha yoga is, unsurprisingly, the specialty at this boutique studio with locations in Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano and Burnaby. During the signature 90-minute class, students move through a 40-posture series designed to strengthen and open up the body. Classes take place in a specially heated, humid room that’ll leave your body dripping and detoxified. You’ll also find Power Flow, CardiYoga and Yin classes on the schedule. All locations offer an Energy Exchange program, which gives individuals the opportunity to volunteer their time in exchange for complimentary classes.
