Kim Stern has travelled the world and experienced life from California to Bali. She is a model, a stylist and a successful businesswoman. All of the skills she's learned in these professions are brought to the forefront in her retail venture APT22.

“I have always been inspired by how fashion can change how you feel, and change how you look," Kim explains. "I always encourage stepping out of the box and doing something different for yourself and you can do that with fashion.”

Kim’s focus for APT22 is on originality. “I keep things unique and in small collections,” she notes. “There are only six pieces and then I don’t get the same style again. So there are only six of these items in the entire city. My clients appreciate that no one is wearing the same thing.”

To help keep it original, APT22 carries its own clothing and jewellery lines as well as those from sought-after brands. Plus, Kim brings handmade accessories back from her travels that you won’t find anywhere else in Calgary. “We are always trying to be one step ahead and be different,” she says.
