I have visited this location many times and have had a good meal overall in most instances. The most recent visit was for brunch. I was intrigued by the description for the pear and coconut pancakes but they were a letdown - dry, lacking flavour. The coffee is decent, a bit strong, not always hot. Their omelettes are usually good and I've heard that their strawberry french toast is good so maybe I'll give that a try.
For dinner, I've tried Bellinis on numerous occasions but they are hit or miss (usually miss) - they don't always have a good flavour.
I liked their very first menu when they opened - with chicken reggiano and white chocolate brownie. Their Caesar salad used to be a larger portion and had a LOT more roasted garlic in it but it seems they've cut back.

My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)

We are Maids Cottage regulars and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The food is as close to home cooked as you will ever get in any restaurant, in any city, anywhere in the world. We're not talking Haute Cuisine here but Comfort Food. Any of the rare times there has been anything that I didn't like or took to long (they can be very,very busy at times) the staff has been more than accommodating about making it right. The service is fast, friendly and personal. And yes the butter tarts are as good as everyone says.

The burgers at BBJ are delicious.
Made with fresh, local ingredients, cooked to order.
You can upgrade to premium toppings like goat cheese and portobello mushrooms, melts in your mouth.
The portions are huge definitely a man sized burger. Fries and onion rings too.
I have never seen such huge onion rings before. Beer battered and fantastic.
Price, very reasonable for the sizes you get. I think it was $4.50 a burger to make it a combo it was $6.50.
You pay more at the other “big chain” burger places in town and still feel hungry afterwards.

I have been to this location before and have always been somewhat satisfied, decent food/service..but today was completely different.The young man working the dinner hour shift named Alex was absolutely incredible....came around and asked if we were all happy with our food, asked everyone, then came over and started CLEANING tables for customers, putting trays in garbage etc.I have NEVER seen that in a fast food joint(young lady helped too!!) Stopped in on Canada Day after the raining parade. 3 kids in tow. We had heard they had great pizza so decided to stop. My kids have only eated chain pizza once or twice in their lives and it's greasy cardboard so we don't even bother. This was a marvelous find! Hands down best pizza I've ever had... next to this place in Lewiston NY 10 years ago LOL Seriously, the Thin crust, and homemade sauce is something else!
