I haven't had Chinese Food in a long time because I couldn't find a really good restaurant that pleased me all around. But this one had all the excellence I was looking for in a family restaurant. It would have been nicer to see some cooler air conditioning especially for those extremely hot days here in Windsor. Edit: This restaurant is under new ownerships and is quite different (new name). This is the best chinese food I have tried in the Windsor area. As a university student I have been to quite a few of the well regarded chinese restaurants downtown. Several of these restaurants have excellent dishes but overall they do not quite compare. Every dish I have tried at Emperor's Garden is outstanding whereas every other restaurant has had an item or two that let me down. My extended family often orders out from Emperor's Garden when relatives come in from out of town. On every occasion the relatives from out of town comment on how excellent the food is. They have, on multiple occasions, stated that if they lived near this restaurant they would go there too often. Prices are towards or below the lower end of $11-$25 per person. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained both externally and internally. I honestly believe it is the best restaurant in Tecumseh. Read more

The chicken curry was awesome, egg rolls were really good the plum sauce that went with them was excellent, sweet and sour shrimp were great. I have visited many Chinese style restaurants in Oshawa and Whitby and I have to say that I was not expecting this degree of quality and freshness from a fast food place. I would have never ordered from here because I always like to take a look at the menu before I get delivery (which I could not find online) but because of location I decided to give it a try, I mean it's only $30-40 after taxes for their specials so no big deal. When I got my first delivery I was shocked of how much food their was and how tasty it was. Not too greasy, spiced and prepped perfectly, warm, timely, and friendly service. Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay.
