Calories is definitely a landmark of Sasktoon. It seems to always be busy, the menu is very genuine and the restaurant is very conscious. The menu is very interchanging with the seasons and always features something new, fresh and exciting. I have been for lunch, dinner and dessert and all are equally as impressive. I like that they offer an 'anytime' menu that is lower in price but still great quality food.
My wife is a vegetarian and was allergic to the one veggie option listed. No problem they whipped up something for her. The only problem was we didn't leave room for dessert.
Calories does a great job of local fare served spectacularly. With a French tendancy, everything from rabbit to butternut squash pear and maple syrup soup comes out amazing. The space is tight, but the service is great and the wine list impressive. Make sure you leave room for one of their famous desserts.
