Excellent food and service. They were busy, but at no time were pushed to hurry. Went with my adult daughter. It is a favorite of hers and wanted to take me there. Loved it. Can hardly wait to return.
The Broadway Cafe is a '50s style diner plastered with Elvis, Marilyn and James Dean memorabilia. The menu is what you would expect it to be, with lots of burger and sandwhich selections, which are all quite good- we've been there a few times. If you go for breakfast or lunch, expect to wait for a table. Nomally the service is excellent- the staff are very freindly, and they remember you after a couple of visits, guessing what you will be ordering.
One time, instead of bringing around the coffee pot after the dishes were cleared, a waitress asked if we were leaving soon. Yes, they were busy, but that question never makes you feel welcome, and it was a few months before we returned.
Other than that incident, if anyone asked, I would reccomend this place to anyone. The Broadway Cafe fits in perfectly into the quirky neighborhood where it resides, and is worth the visit just to see what a diner of that era looked like. Hope they never change a thing.
