“I have always believed that it is essential, when treating a patient, to consider their social, economic and cultural contexts, in addition to their physical and psychological realities. Treating in a piecemeal fashion is counterproductive; you have to take a global approach. That is the premise and the foundation of Médecines Alternatives Rosemont, which brings together various disciplines to help people,” explains Dominique Foucreault, massage therapist and owner of Médecines Alternatives Rosemont.
A trained fashion designer, Dominique began her career working at Cirque du Soleil. “I loved my work, but I always felt this need to help people," she says. "So I studied shiatsu massage and acupuncture, and after years of training, I felt the time was right to dive in and work with others in a professional setting. I wanted to continue to evolve, while acquiring more experience.” To this effect, Dominique opened Médecines Alternatives Rosemont in 2014.
