Chef Pierre Lévêque, born in the French town of Luçon, Vendée (where, for the record, Cardinal Richelieu once served as bishop) helped a group of Montreal businessmen by relaunching their restaurant on Laurier Street in Outremont.
The trial run was a success and Pierre agreed to continue the venture on the condition that he buy the business and the building. Six months later, it was a done deal. The year was 1972 and the future looked promising.
Every Saturday and Sunday, Chez Lévêque ring the morning’s bells! To send you up in the heaven at the weekend, just long linger in our legendary brunch diabolical

Chez Lévêque is a classic French bistro situated on Laurier, and during Easter it’s a great place to spend time with family, especially at brunch! They normally have a chalkboard menu which includes all the French classics, and while the menu hasn’t been finalized yet, last year, their Easter brunch included delights such as foie gras, duck confit, risotto and more. They take brunch seriously!

View this Smart ListThe French cuisine of chef Pierre Leveque is bound to put a smile on your face during the 5th MTLàTABLE event. By way of starters, the $41 menu features a mixed salad, homemade black pudding, or beet millefeuille with Blue Benedictine cheese. For the second course, you’ll have to choose between the sweetbread medaglioni, the Matane shrimp risotto, and the gnocchi with Île-aux-grues cheddar. Dessert won’t be any easier, with the Oka cheese raclette, rum baba, and a chocolate sweet all fighting for your attention.
