Frédéric Mercier has always had a passion for games, whether it was trading cards or board games. He had already spent lots of time in specialty shops before working in one himself. "I preferred to work in the shop over doing my spreader job at the time," says the passionate gamer.
Frédéric finally left the agricultural world and sold his share of the family farm to search for something he would really like. "I wanted to take care of my own business and do something more exciting," he says. Before moving to Montreal to find work in the field of games, Frédéric touched on science and IT. His enthusiasm for games finally led him to open his own shop, Le Secret des Korrigans, on June 14, 2013. The name of the shop refers to a mythical creature that is part of the owner's Breton origins.
