Welcome. We are officially classified as a small, 3 star hotel. Our 9 rooms are housed in an elaborately restored historic building located in the heart of Old Montreal.
Hotel Épik Montréal, which opened in 2014, took over the location of a then 23-year-old bed-and-breakfast in Old Montréal. This transition from old to new came with updates the hotel's services and the installation of modern amenities, while keeping intact what has always been special about the building.
“When we restored the hotel, we tried as much as possible to highlight the architecture of this 180-year-old building,” the hotel's manager, Paul Ielovcich, says. “The wooden beams, the stone brick, that’s what made this place special.”
At this classic location Épik offers clients 10 rooms and a 24-hour concierge service at the front desk.
“We are in the true sense of the word a ‘boutique hotel,’” Paul points out. “Because of the scale that we operate at we are incredibly personalized. We really do know everyone’s name because we can at this size. You can call yourself a boutique hotel and then you can actually behave like a boutique hotel.”
This Old Port eatery serves its all-Italian version of mac and cheese, with a mascarpone, caciocavallo and provolone bechamel sauce, cheese-stuffed meatballs and melted crispy Parmesan.
