Academy Name Origin The origin of the school name Delano has English, French and Italian origin. Its meaning is diverse but has been associated with the Alder Tree Grove. Private Academy for 18 months-Grade 12. The Delano Academy was created on the dedication to empower students in their learning and profoundly improve student quality of life. In providing an environment with highly trained and experienced faculty, 20th century teaching practices, state of the art resources, and highly differentiated instruction, the possibilities are infinite for student growth. We offer five unique programs at the Academy. We have three Academy programs; Jr. Pre Academy, Sr. PreAcademy & Academy, for our youngest students 18 months to 5.9 years of age where students attend half days and begin their academic journey.
