    Great food. Not good atmosphere.

Good food. (Large portions, high quality, and good value). What more could you want? Well, the look and atmosphere of this place has a lot to be desired. If you want to impress someone, you way want to try another location. But if you want to eat well, then go here. The Pho here is a lot better than the Pho in the other Vietnamese places in the area (and considering where it is, that says a lot).

    Best pho in downtown Toronto

Open 24hrs, so prices are a little higher than other pho places. Around $9 for a large, but you get your money's worth because the portions are HUGE! They've achieved the perfect noodle to soup ratio. The soup is one of the best I've had and they do not skimp on the meat either! Fresh tender rare beef + brisket! Atmosphere is a little dilapidated but so are most pho places, so it's expected. I'd go here every week if only I lived closer.

Finding the elusive vegetarian pho in Toronto

Finding the elusive vegetarian pho in Toronto

If you have a craving for excellent Vietnamese food at 2 am, this is the place to go. Pho Pasteur in Chinatown is open 24/7. Small and compact, this spot may feature faded decor but the food is delicious and will satisfy your cravings. The pho menu is long considering it’s such a small joint, and while it features lots of meat, they don’t forget vegetarians. For $9.99, you can enjoy their Phở rau cải tàu hủ, a completely vegetarian pho.

A taste of Vietnam: Toronto's best pho restaurants

Night owls will rejoice to discover this Vietnamese eatery in Chinatown is open 24/7. You need never let a late-night craving for authentic Vietnamese cuisine go unsatisfied again. Order takeout or take a seat in their small dining area. Pho Pasteur is nothing special to look at but that’s not why regular customers come by – they’re here to enjoy the food. Pho is the main event, offered in three savoury varieties (beef, chicken or vegetarian) and in three sizes (small, medium and large).
