“No one’s doing what I’m doing now,” says Brian Vu of his Toronto boutique, Latre Art + Style. With Latre pronounced 'later' and 'tre' meaning late in Vietnamese, the deceptively simple name speaks to the slow creation process that is Brian’s M.O. While upstairs acts as a retail space, a studio is hidden downstairs, making the shop a perfect fit for the artsy Junction 'hood in which it resides.
Brian’s carefully constructed clothing and accessories — both of his hand and others — get equal time in the spotlight, and the result is an impeccably curated room that has more in common with an art gallery than your average clothing boutique.
