Ahh, yes Duff's Famous Wings. I have tried them before, and ate there again recently. It seems that chicken wings are outperforming gold and oil stocks because they are a lot more expensive now than ever before. I literally cannot believe people pay over $1 a wing to eat there, when at most places in Calgary they still have 9 cent or 25 cent wing specials with purchase of an alcoholic drink. Duff's is a novelty restaurant, focused on if you can handle their famous Death or Armageddon sauce. You only need visit it once or twice in your life - much like going up the CN Tower or viewing Niagara Falls. It is a spectacle and experience to watch your friends try the hot sauce, almost like a dare. It becomes easy to get caught up in the challenge the first time around and miss that you are massively overpaying for a pub-style dinner. Probably the most annoying thing about eating there is that for food so spicy they make the soft drinks expensive. Try $5.50 for a Large Coke with no free refills. It is a real kick in the wallet when you end up paying $11+tax by the end of your meal because you needed a refill to wash down the spice and salt. Based on the price gouging, I cannot see myself eating there again. It has become a one-off novelty - why do you think they never change anything on the menu - except for raising the prices?!
When I crave very hot wings this is where I go. By far one of the hottest wings in town. I usually order the "death" or "armageddon" sause depending on my mood. I have noticed that the degree of how spicey the wings are can vary on any given day. My only gripe about this joint is that they have the shoe string fries & I personally like the thick cut fries to compliment my wings. As a man who has been chompin on wings for over 20 years, this place is one of my favorites. The service is decent & the place looks clean. The menu does seem to have variety for those who may crave something else other than wings.
I've found it tough to find a place with dependably good wings in Toronto, so I usually end up going to Duff's for wing cravings. The food and service are always good and the prices are reasonably. There's just not a lot of personality or originality in the food, and less in the restaurant, which is designed just to fit people in. I wish I could find a Wing's place that's a bit more special.
Tuesday night is wing night. Expect long line-ups, wait times, and a loud atmosphere. Its the best night to go! Do not order Armageddon... just too hot, but the Medium are perfect
me and my bf went there on tuesday because we wanted to try the armageddon wings. the honey garlic and spicy bbq were excellent and had lots of chicken on the wing unlike most places nowadays. the armageddon were very hot!!! but you always get a kick getting someone new try them. I was a little disappointed that the bill was soo expensive, i thought tuesdays special was suppose to be cheaper that should be their everyday price.
JUST AMAZING. My friends had been talking about Duff's for a few months "You need to try Duff's", "It's the best wing place in the city" so my wife and I finally decided to give it a try. I will never go to another wing place again. I couldn't believe how amazing the service was and how insane the food tasted. This is the ONLY place in the city that does Buffalo wings right. A MUST TRY.
Was in the area when I visted to get my Ipod fixed so I walked in hearing about this place being associated with the Duff''s from Buffalo. I ordered a large portion of wings and barely finished them. Large Jumbo wings with great bufflao hot sauce. If your want authenic Buffalo style wings try this place out!!

With origins south of the border in Amherst, New York, Duff’s Famous Wings have been around for almost 50 years. Duff’s served its first pound of famous Buffalo wings in 1969, and haven’t stopped since, opening a Toronto location in 1998. The wings come in 16 flavours including the extremely spicy Armageddon. Wings are available for take-out and the wing special is on Tuesday nights from 5 p.m. until close.
View this Smart ListThe chicken wings at this popular downtown chain restaurant aren’t just hot, they’re totally tongue scorching. With names like “Death” and “Armageddon” on the menu you know these guys aren’t kidding around with run-of-the-mill hot sauce. The habanero-based sauces are sure to cause a sweat and satisfy your hunger — if you’re able to get through an entire basket, that is.

Taking suicide spice levels to the extreme since 1998, this Little Italy hotspot will have you running to St. Mary Magdalene’s to beg for exorcism of the demons on your tongue. Of course, there are other flavours that won’t inflame your tongue, and entrees and sandwiches too.
