Kathy's welcomes you to their coffee shop. You can even enjoy the sunlight on their terrace and can get there not only by public transit but also by bicycle and car. Come visit them in a location known as exciting and can pay by Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Was out of town working, finally stopped to eat at 6 pm. We actually used Restaurantica to find a fish & chip shop as we had a craving for it, but the one we found was out of business.
So my friend locks it up in front of this place as it had a sign advertising fish & chips. At this point we were ready to start chewing on the cars interior haha, so we go in and order a double order of fish each and one order of chips to split.
Have to say, the lady serving and cooking was a sweetie....the price was right and she made sure we had tarter sauce, forks etc as we needed to take it to go and get back to work.
The décor is interesting, you can tell the place has been there a long time, that's for sure.
Problem was....our food was AWFUL. Really bad. The fish was dark brown, and since I have worked in the food industry my educated guess was ancient, dirty deep fryer oil. The batter was gross, I pulled it off and choked down the overcooked fish.
The fries were the soggiest things I have ever had the bad luck to try to eat. Old? Not blanched? I am not sure of the problem, but yuch.
Terrible food, don't know how this place stays in business. It's too bad, the lady running it was really nice but that doesn't make up for inedible food.
