I want to say that Sandy Mountain Campground is one of the better and cheaper campground around, the staff is friendly and there is something always going on. I notice this year that there are more young family's coming, The property has beautiful old trees, The lots are a good size. This article is to up date from last review that was done in 2011 'elisatanic" you will love it here this is my 16th year hope to be here many more years

A slice of heaven...

A slice of heaven!!! Beautiful, affordable, quiet, 9 hole par 3 course. Lots of wildlife, with giant old trees lining the fairways. Water and sand traps truly test your short game. The people in the campground have never been anything but friendly, even if you have to ask the embarrassing question "Have you seen my ball?" This place is a true diamond in the rough. And to all who think par 3 courses are to easy, come on out and test your skills. We're always looking for a fourth!!!

I have been at sandy moundy for the last 10 years I find this year the noise has gottng out of control, it is a party all the time when you are silk you sure don't want to hear the drunks and have all that other stuff in your nose. all the good people are leaving and all the rif rafts are coming in

If half a star were an option..

The service i experience at Sandy Mountain was very very poor. Being a young adult I was treated rudely by the staff. I only enjoyed the time spent with my friends. NEVER going back.
