When they were across the street at the foodcourt. We loved the Laksa. Now, it's bad. For the price, you can get bigger portion and better taste at One2Snacks(prices are cheaper, too). Service are bad. The servers don't know the dishes. I guess the owners wanted to hire cheap labor with no experience. When they serve wrong dishes they even tried to tell us that it's suppose to be like that! Incredible!! Not ethical at all! When we pointed out the obvious, they tell us they are too busy! From all the other 4 reviews, it seems it's from the same person, probably the owners themselves trying to fool new customers!
I live in Thornhill, so this is a far drive. But when I am around the area, I drop in. Their Nasi Goreng is AWESOME and as is their Satay. But their Nasi Lemak is a huge let down. The sambal tasted more like the thai sweet chilli sauce. There was no ikan billis as stated in their menu, and their egg york was BROWN! Its a hole in the wall place. But will go back for their Satay and Nasi Goreng.
This place is a gem when it comes to Southeast Asian cooking. I try to go there 3-4 times a month. Have not finished trying all their dishes. Friendly service even when crowded. Dishes are reasonably priced.
I am an ex-pat from Malaysia living at the west end of downtown Toronto. At least once a month, I will drive up there to get takeout. It is as good as Restoron Malaysia and certainly better than the westernized Matahari Grill.
For a fast food restaurant, this place has some of the best malaysian flavours around!
The dishes were all great. I do not eat seafood and in the dishes that usually had seafood they replaced it for a different meat. The beef satay are better than the chicken in my opinion. The chilli beef was very spicy so if you eat hot this is a dish for you. My favourite is the Mee Goreng. Best malaysian dish in the city in my opinion.
