Everyday food, large portions, and deace service. your hole in the wall congee place. if you're looking for bay street restaurat service at this Sheppard and midland location you are no having the right expectations. look here for cheap delicious eats with large portions. Very authentic and congee is the main dish here. Get that.

I have been order...

I have been ordering take out from here for my mother in the last year or so. I then took my dad for a few meals, which he enjoyed. The food is delicious and the service is great. Joanna is very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you want a nice personable place for delicious Chinese food, this place is a gem.

Worst Congee Place in Toronto

We tried this place as one of the options for a nearby Congee place and I must say this is the worst experience for a restaurant in Toronto area. I have never written a review before even though i rely heavily on reviews before trying out a new place. The service from the start was not up to the mark. We were seated for 10 minutes and the staff forgot to take down the order.There were only three tables occupied when we were seated. The chef too was seated on a table next to us having his meal, but when we called for the waiter a couple of times to place our order, he did not try to help us by getting the staff attention. The food was not upto the mark and I had to remove the ginger peices as they were raw. The pork meat too was smelly. At the end, we had to once again call for the check and again, there was a wait period. Apparently the staff was interested in some Chinese TV awards and all the staff was more inclined to not missing it. I certainly do not recommend this place as the service, ambiance, and food have a bad rating from my end.

Filthy Restaurant

waitress is rude. rolled her eyes when we asked what was in the dish. food is filthy. found thick curly hair stuck in beef tendon soup.

Very general Chinese food. There is nothing special but price was increased lots. Portion is unsteady, sometimes more but sometimes less which is not professional. The source on the noodle just like soup without any taste. Service is good, waitress are warm and nice to service customer and talk like friends. Unfortunately, there are only couple waitress to service customers in the rush hour specially during the holiday. Heartless employer !!! The owner must not care about service at all. The utensils looks old and dirty.

the servings size keep on changing!

the food was pretty good there, a little bit expensive, but overall a great selection. the only thing i would advise against are the fortune cookies. they are terrible and the same fortune message appeared twice!!! ii would definetley come here again. the first time i went there i had a very big dish of chow mein, then it kept on gettiong smaller, at time, then bigger. the chef should have some control on the serving portions

The Duck and Chicken Congee was excellent, had a lot of duck taste. There was also tonnes of duck and chicken pieces in the congee and we only ordered the small congee. It tasted great. The oyster and chicken congee i won''t order again, the oyster was not very fresh and there was no oyster taste in the congee. Not recommended. The noodles was excellent also. It was supposed to be spicy but it was not spicy at all, despite that it was still really tasty and the portion was good. The portions for the congee was really big too. Me and my bf ordered the 2 congee and could barely finish them with the noodles. It was a lot. Service was polite and quick. Definitely will return if given the chance.

since we discover this family restaurant years...

since we discover this family restaurant years ago, I was single then. I was amaze of how the food taste so good and the service is excellent. then I got married and I take my family there now, and my son whose 2 enjoys being thereand also enjoys the food considering his very picky, but not in these restaurant, he absolutely eats whatever we order. I recommend this restaurant to anybody.
