Great Place!
I have a bunch of picky eaters in my family, and this place does not allow that! I LOVED it!
Like the other posts state, you go in, tell them what you do not like or have allergies to and they just bring you food.
Our waitress said, I am here to feed you and make you happy lol.
We started with 3 apps, and had two platters for the main meal followed by an AMAZING strawberry cheese cake for dessert! Let me tell you..This was no little slab of cake, it was a massive peice, I was totally cheese caked out after.
it was by far the best Itilan place we have ever been to! Our total bill was 65$ for 3 people. We felt that was not over priced at all, given the quality of service and food.
Another thing I also liked, was no one in the place had the same platter of food! We checked out what everyone was getting and it was all totally different! I loved that about this place!
You FOR SURE need to make reservations for this place, it has seriously like 10 tables. It is WAY small. But you will not be sorry!
food here was amazing, fresh and homemade. service was also great, very friendly and courteous. the dining area is a little small, but it is a nice cozy atmosphere.
beware, they don't give you menus. you choose from a couple of pastas, meats and side dishes they are serving that day. don't worry, it's always something good.

It certainly is not an eye catching place - no doubt it is dated inside and the bathrooms are ancient.
It is small - so I would recommend you make reservations in advance.
But the food is exceptional. I have eaten at Italien restaurants in London, Kitchener, Hamilton and Toronto and this place's food is right up there with the best of them.
Service is good. This is the type of place you go with an open mind. They ask you if there are any dislikes or allergies or special requests. No formal menu per say. You can call ahead or request specific types we were told.
Our meal consisted of:
Hot little rolls for dipping in oil and vinegar.
Salad with a very lite salad dressing
Bruschetta (fresh tomatoes/olive oil) and garlic bread
Platter with: Cheese Tortellini, Angle Hair pasta with garlic sauce and Beef Raviolli with meat sauce
Platter with: Chicken Parm with meat sauce
Platter with: Garlic Shrimp
Ample servings for all. Food was excellent.
Nobody needed dessert.
It worked out to $40/person tip in. This included about 2 drinks per person. Everyone in our group was more than satisfied.
For the quality and quantity of food in London or Kitchener etc - you would pay alot more.
The staff are friendly and always checking to make sure you are happy with everything.
We would recommend this place to folks who like Italian food.
We sat for 45 mins just to order a bottle of wine. Then they served food to everyone who came in after us!! After 3 hrs we had finally finished and could leave!! Worst little joint in Pt. Edward! Unless your over 60, don't expect any attention or service! Oh, the bill was the most laughable part, $80+ (and no tip left)
We were in the area for business and we worked late, we decided to stay in town. While checking in we asked the desk clerk if she could recommend something special. First she said the restaurant in the hotel, we asked for something different. Then she asked if we liked Italian and we all said yes. She simply said go to Salvatore's. It was not even a 5 min car ride from the Hotel we were staying.
They literally treated us like as if they knew us for years. This gentelman that as running in and out simply asked us if we had any allergies while another lady took our wine order, then brought us our bruschetta and salad. The gentleman then simply looked at us and said do you trust us with preparing something special for you. We said sure, why not. He said, thank you and that was the last we saw of him.
Anne the waitress heard us talking in French so she took the initiative and began speaking to us in Francais being from Quebec that in itself was a sheer pleasure for the 4 of us. It was refreshing to able to speak French in an Italian restaurant particularly in Ontario.
The house wine was a very good choice and we had a cognac for an after dinner drink with our espresso.
After the meal we chatted with both Anne and Maria the cook. We will definitely return!
If you want the best Italian food in Sarnia or Point Edward, Salvatores is the place. Anybody who's been to Italy will know that this is what a true Italian Trattoria is like. Small place with great wine, good service and the best home made food. Menus don't exist because what the kitchen cooks depends and what looks good at the market that day. We have been to Salvatores on many occasions and it never disappoints, no decisions to make and the food is great.
we are from the states and this was our first trip here.we found the food bland..there is no menu, which we found intrigueing...when we walked in we saw a server walking back into the kitchen with a lushes looking dessert, which we were never offered dessert or coffee..and we were a little disappointed that the table next to us received shrimp scampi and linguine alfredo which would have been more to our liking..we were charged for a liter of wine, which should have been a glass of wine, but was rectified by the cashier..she took the whole thing off and did not even charge for the glass my husband did have..which was very nice....I really liked the concept of the place, but think there should be options..tell the customer which pastas they can choose from and which meat or fish is available...

Salvatorie's is a definite delight. If you like the chain style restraunt, this place is not for you and we'd be gratful if you went to the chain. Salvatories is dinning the way dining once was and so rarely is anymore. Louie (the owner) is an absolute jewel and will do anything for you. He is very knowledgable concerning his wines and will bend over backwards to accomodate. His staff is likewise super. Yes, it is small. Yes, there is no menu. Yes you do have input but, you must realize that this is a small restraunt and this is a great part of it's charm. If this isn't up your alley, please go elsewhere and those of us that enjoy this style of dining will appreciate the shorter wait.
