I had a great experience renting from TCU. The few problems we did have were addressed quickly, without any fuss. They made life in Ottawa very convenient for my studies, really could not have asked for better people. I would advise any student to talk them, they have a good understanding of what we need.
Do not rent from here. They don't take payments for months, don't return calls, don't return deposit, then continue to take rent payments after lease is over. Terrible experience for students and parents.
Not a good rental company
I wish I could give zero stars. This company is only concerned in taking advantage of and making money off of unsuspecting students who do not understand their rights as tenants. They do not care about the safety of their tenants; many of their rental properties are nowhere near accessible (including my building), nor do they care to take action when events happening on the property endanger other tenants residing there.
Rent from anywhere else. Zero service, 100% unprofessionalism and mismanagement.

This company is literally the worst property management company that I have rented with. They do not respect student tenants and their services are very unfriendly, super slow and very low quality. When we moved into our house on the day our lease started, NOTHING apart from the shower and toilets was working for 2 weeks. Their 24 h lines do not come back to you when you have a flooding emergency in your flat and if their workers do not pick up the phone, then we have to wait until they do.
Great locations throughout the city, buildings and insides all look clean and well furnished and a great group of guys running the business

Do NOT rent from them. We rented a unit in a house that was built just before we moved in and have only lived here for 4 months and there are so many things wrong. Our shower, fridge, towel racks, dishwasher and a few other things broke within the first month. There is mold on every window, our front door isn't properly sealed and so we have ice on the inside of our house and my roommates ceiling is leaking into her overhead light. Extremely poor quality and service, and super expensive.
I have rented from TC two years in a row now and could not be happier with the service that I've consistently received. As a student having rented under 3 seperate landlords/property management groups previous to TC United, I've come to realize how crucial it is to find a landlord that responds promptly, is accomodating and entirely reliable. The landlord I've personally been renting under, Billy, and the rest of the TC members that I've met are exactly that. 10/10 would rent again.
Having been with TC United for 2 years I can attest to the excellence of the business. Billy will personally go above and beyond to make your tenancy exceptional. He is available when needed, and ensures that everything is okay. We have yet to have any problem with the apartment, or the landlord. Dont hesitate to rent with TC United. Aaron
TCU does a great job taking care of myself and my roommates. Not only are they attentive to our requests and respond to any issue quickly and affectively, but also work to provide a great home to live in. This is one of the many perks of working with a management firm instead of landlords. We have only ever had one problem and that would be that it wasn't super clean when we first moved in however that was due to the late checkout of the previous tenants and was beyond their control.
Our landlord Billy has been extremely good to us. He is a true passionate business man and I really believe that he wants the best for all of his tenants. I am extremely lucky to have been able to have him as my landlord for the past four years. If you want to make your university experience as good as it can get, I strongly recommend going with TC property management.
Had a good experience with renting an apartment with my friends. We had some issues due to winter water damage but overall any issue we had was fixed immediately by the company (like bulbs burning out, outlet issues etc.). Overall would recommend renting from them, the apartments are super nice and the location is ideal for students. You definitely get a nicer living space for what you pay and the properties are new so definitely less issues than your typical older student apartment.
This is one of the best STUDENT housing property management companies in Ottawa. I've been with them for almost 4 years, and the fact that I have wanted to renew my lease every year says a lot. The apartments are probably the best quality for student housing, and yes I go back to student housing because that's what I'm paying for. Not expecting luxury treatment but they get things done, they replace and fix what needs to be fixed in a timely manner. Would definitely rent from them again!
Horrible property management company! Property managers don't show up to house viewings, treat all student tenants like children, charge absurd rent NEVER LIVE IN THEIR PROPERTIES!
