Bangkok Thai Cuisine was fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the service was excellent. The owner is lovely and so personable, along with her staff. We started off with the Appetizer Assortment which was soooo good and made us excited for what was to follow. We opted for the Pad Thai and we were not disappointed – it was perfectly prepared with just enough sauce and plenty of chicken and tiger shrimps. Finally, we had the Chicken Cashew and the Mixed Vegetables. Both were excellent! Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We will definitely be returning!
Honestly I have never written a review for anythin in my life, but felt i had to after our experience at this restaurant. This was easily the best food and meal out we've had in years. We had a large group for a very important evening and the new owner of bankok thai did not disapoint. The serice was so friendly and each dish that was brought out was better than the last. We had been to the old bangkok thai a few times and alway enjoyed it but the new owner's have transformed this place to incredible. The place looks very classy, i noticed it was revamped from the chair to the cool sign out front. GO TRY THE BEST THAI in newmarket. seriously i wouldn't waste time writing a review if they hadn't made our night so speacial, with the best food and service in years. On side note, not to sound cheap but i thought after an evening like that (food a plenty, and a few thai beers) i was expecting the bill to be twice as high. first and last review i'll write in a while. Please go try this place...AMAZING!
Under new managment & tastefully renovated, we found the decor classy & inviting. The staff was friendly, efficient & courteous. We liked the look of the mixed appetizer plate, but it was for 2 people & we were 3. Without hesitation, our server said "no problem, I'll have them make it for 3" The peanut sauce on the chicken skewers was to die for! The golden squid was chunks of squid prepared in a crispy batter, not your standard calamari rings. The house red & white wine was excellent & modestly priced. All the entrees were served nice & hot. Emerald chicken curry was mild & flavourful with a bit of a bite & lots of broth to soak into the sticky rice. The Pad Thai simply delicious, the mixed seafood basil had a generous protion of shrimp, squid, mussels & crab was very good. The shrimp with cashew nuts & oranges was my favourite. We had no room for desert! We look forward to eating there again next time we"re in the area.
It is always nice to have an evening out with friends and to try a new place that turns out awesome. The four of us ate at the Bangkok Thai Cuisine, which is now under new management. We arrived to a bright, clean and friendly restaurant. The food smelled amazing. We received the menu that offers a large variety of Thai dishes. Everyone wanted to try something different, so we ordered a variety dishes, some spicy and some mild. I like seafood. There were several options. I tried the Goong-Pad-Bai-Krapow (Basil Prawns). It was so tasty and delicious. My friends tried other dishes. All were very pleased. The friendly staff checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We chatted and ate and the evening went perfect! Great quality, good atmosphere and good price! Well done! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back soon!
I picked up my order. Drove from one end of town to the other to get it. I paid $46.00 to get home and find that the containers were half empty. I called and was told that they measure the food and that is what you get for your money. I have ordered from here many times and this just is not true, or it didnt use to be. It did not even feed my husband and myself and I am 5' 2" and 110 lbs. I have had lousy service, bad food, late delivery, but I can tell you I have never been irate over an order, until now. I feel like we got the leftovers from someone elses dinner, oh, and we had no leftovers which is very unusual. Actually unheard of here.
The food was fantastic! However, the service was poor and it was so cold in the restaurant the diners incliding myself had to keep our coats on while we ate. The food came in good time but after it was served we never saw another waiter until they came to clear the dishes. I would of liked another beer and my wife's water needed refilling. They eventually brought the bill and never asked if we wanted coffee, tea or anyhing else. The food was great so from now on it will be takeout only!
Family owned business - great authentic Thai food! Nice atmosphere, clean, great service.
My husband and I discovered this little gem quite by accident. We live in Northern Ontario and travel the 4 hours to get to this restaurant. It is the best thai food we have ever had. No other restaurant compares. Think about it, we travel 4 hours to get there! Sometimes the service is slightly slow....but relax and soak in the atmosphere! I'm hoping to come by in May and I'm bringing people from England with me. LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE FOOD!! We always order a second meal to take home, but it never makes it that far. Always carry spoons in the vehicle!
this is one of the best thai restaurants in the g.t.a. friendly service and great food!!
we went with a group of 4. Time it took for Acknowledgement (we sat ourselves) and time it took to take our orders was bad (over 10 minutes). My friend's meal came out over 20 mins. after ours. Normally his meal would be comp'ed but they insisted he still pay, and would not allow me to split the bill into single bills. I'll never go back, not for the mediocre food and poor service.
Mmmm...Mmmm...Mmmm... the best Spring Rolls I have ever had, anywhere! Me and my co-workers order lunch specials here once a week and love it everytime! Such a good deal...entree, soup, and spring roll for $6.95 or $8.95 depending on the entree. Always fast and very nice people! Thank you for the yummiest Thai ever!
Small, simple looking family restaurant that we got to know as inexpensive but very good quality food. We have been there many times and always enjoy coming back. Many downtown restaurants with double the price menus leave us ultimately unimpressed. Excellent tasting food at reasonable prices does it for us. For two, we usually end up paying well under $50 (no drinks). We will come back for more.
The waiters are clueless.... Ordered Vegitarian to go ,confirmed 5 times, they still sent me Chicken -Never again !
Best Thai food in Newmarket -- hands down (and given that there are now at least 8 thai places up here -- that's sayin something!) I've tried all the others, and none compares. Best best best thai!
I have tried a million different Thai restaurants around, and I have yet to find one that compares. This restaurant is by far the best, every time. I have gone here since it opened and haven't found one better.
It would be nice if they delivered. The food is okay, but we've found other Thai restaurants in the area to have better food with more flavour and better prices. Too expensive for what you get.
My husband and I used to come here often when we lived in the area but we've now moved away and haven't found a thai restaurant that compares. The Cashew Chicken is the best I've EVER tasted. We sometimes drive to Newmarket if we feel like that dish. AWESOME.
Great authentic thai food restaurant with a very friendly staff. I will be returning regularly.
When asked if the food could be made spicier the staff were very accomodating and explained that generally they did not make the food too spicy on account of the 'western pallate'. Very friendly, not too much or too little food, and nice attmosphere.
Grrreat! Absolutely amazing!! food best in the country.... aewsome!
