My wife & I tried this place out on the recommendation of friends who frequent it allot, and I'm glad we listened. The food was fantastic my wife and I both cook at home so we can appreciate fresh food and this was definitely fresh. They have a wood burning pizza oven which is hard to find, the pizza was just like we had in Florence. Another thing we liked was no children, we hate when we go out and have paid good money for a babysitter and end up next to someone else’s screaming child. The atmosphere was great too very rustic with a cool vibe. Thanks Fanzorelli's we will see you soon Ciao.
I usually never write reviews; but after the amazing meal and service our party received from the crew at Fanzorelli’s I had to be sure to tell everyone. People were raving about the food for days! The tiramisu is to die for!!! This was my first time planning a party there, and the staff was very helpful with every aspect. The venue was perfect, the food was fresh and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening.
My wife and I just moved into Brampton and in one of our ventures out we stumbled upon this gem and from the moment we walked in we new we were in the right place. The smell of basil and garlic was great, the décor was cool too very Italy like it reminded us of a place in Florence we visited. We have been back three times since and it has become our new local fav, the food is always fantastic “ try the osso buco awesome” and staff really care it seems about their customers they already know our names and what we like to drink, nice touch. We will definitely be frequent flyers to this restaurant.
I was horrified with the service I received yesterday and although I never write reviews, this case is definitely an exception. A good friend of mine accompanied me to this restaurant and I have never felt more disgusted and embarrassed for the carelessness and disregard with the customer service. Firstly we arrived and no one was at the front of the restaurant for at least 5 minutes to seat us and when the waitress finally came she looked my friend and i up and down and scoffed at us with an extremely curt "can I help you with something" Raised eyebrow included. We were seated in the dining room, and I must say that the one thing I did love about the place was that the interior decor is gorgeous. When the waitress came back she was extremely rude and we did not even stay for the food. We ordered one drink each and then left. I am surprised that the same waitress was being so much more courteous, even stating her name to other tables and being way more polite. Keeping in mind I am 23, and my friend is 24, we were not being loud. I felt disrespectfully insulted and will never be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to anyone but doing the opposite. Please hire new staff.
My partner and I had dinner here in the past, prior to attending a Rose Theatre event. It was extremely disappointing, and we vowed not to return. BUT 4 friends wished to dine in downtown Brampton, with a craving for Italian, and they insisted on Fanzorelli's. In other words, we were outvoted. The evening started off well, with attentive service on the patio. However, we elected to move indoors due to the weather. Again, as the restaurant only had a few tables, the service was expedient. Then the bottom fell out. The more the tables began filling up... the worse and worse the service. By the end of the night, our requests were completely forgotten/ignored. How can you serve pasta and not offer shaved cheese or freshly ground black pepper? We requested this (more than once) and to this day, I'm still waiting for the server to come back! Just terrible service. It gets worse - the food. Not a single member of the party enjoyed their entree. Comments ranged from "no flavour" to "I know what al dente is, but this is just plain undercooked pasta" and finally "did this tomato sauce come straight from the can?" But the most embarrassing is the seafood/pasta pescatore dish. The server walks through the entire restaurant bearing a gargantuan size bowl with a monster crab claw sticking out of it, turning every diner's head to where this huge serving is headed - perhaps they were expecting to see Shrek awaiting his dinner. There is literally enough pasta in this dish to feed a family of four. Being of Italian descent, I expect my pasta to be a side accompaniment on a main entree - not enough to literally feed an army! It actually quashed any appetite I might have had. The serving looked like it belonged in the dinner scene from Beetlejuice. Perhaps the chef might highlight the seafood in the dish, and allow this food to rest on a bed of pasta suitable for one person, served on a dinner plate? or SMALL bowl/platter? rather than making me the focus of attention of the whole room, subject (literally) to open mouthed gaping and comments/twittering of the other patrons? Bottom line = an overblown, garbled mess that turned me right off. Oh well.... Fanzorelli's initially started out as a location than only my husband and I vowed not to return to - however, the list has been expanded by 4 more patrons.
