The history of the Manitoba Restaurant Association dates back to 1944 when we were known as the Canadian Restaurant Association (CRA) Manitoba Division. A branch of the Manitoba Restaurant and Foodservices Association (MRFA) was later formed as a fee sharing affiliate of the CRFA and grew steadily. As an association with over 400 restaurant members and 100 associate members we made the decision on January 1, 1998 to split from the CRFA in order to serve our members better.
