Veerle and Vanessa Davies are the fashion-savvy mother-daughter duo behind Carte Blanche Boutique, a stylish womenswear store with two Vancouver locations.
Carte Blanche is known as a destination for dresses, offering high-quality frocks that can be dressed down for day and dressed up for night. “We offer classic versatile clothes for the modern woman," says Veerle. Daughter Vanessa (pictured above) points out the array of vegan leather shoes and bags, and various accessories on display throughout the boutique. “We’re about dressing head to toe,” she says.
The boutique carries high-quality clothing without the steep price tag, with most dresses priced under $100. Formal gowns, cocktail dresses and casual wear adorn the chic black and white interior.
Veerle and Vanessa opened their Point Grey boutique in June, 2015, and followed up a year later with a second shop on West Broadway in Kitsilano. Both locations feature different selections, and the Davies plan to open more stores down the road. "We'd like a shop in each cool Vancouver neighbourhood,” Vanessa says with a wink.
