Rambo: "You got some place I can eat around here?"...
.....Teasle: "There's a diner about thirty miles up the road."
What's the line-up to get into this joint about?
Is the food really that good.....or is it a casting call for another Rambo film?
This place may appeal to a shell-shocked soldier, but if he really is nostalgic for bland fare that has been carpet-bombed by sodium, he should have never left the war.
One thing it has going for it are the friendly servers. If you're lonely and haven't seen a woman since???....it's a great place!
Otherwise, keep driving right on through town, mac.
Ta-ta!
We had a bit of a wait to get in - I thought this was a sign of a popular place. We ordered two deluxe burgers and waited and waited and waited. 45 minutes later we finally got our server's attention - and we tried to get her attention for a while. We were told they had gotten our order mixed up. When the burgers finally arrived an hour after being seated, the burgers were decent but the fries were cold and soggy, possibly having been on a plate since we first ordered. We ate the burgers and wanted to pay. They did offer us a free desert because of the long wait. When we mentioned the fries, the server created quite a scene. If you're traveling through Hope, BC, we'd suggest finding somewhere else to eat - anywhere else.

I have found the Home cafe to have very curteous and friendly service. Even when the restaraunt is full food comes in a timely manner. I have eaten at the Home cafe many times while travelling through Hope and will continue to do so in the future.
