Sharon Fraser used to love discovering finds at church basement sales or yard sales and that eventually led her to start hunting for treasures in consignment stores. She even had a job at one when she lived in Vancouver. In 2011, she was laid off from her job in Calgary and decided it was time to open her own business. As luck would have it, the consignment shop she frequently visited was closing. Sharon followed her passion, took over the store space, and soon opened Moda Consignment. “I had been consigning a long time myself, so I thought it was a good fit,” she says. “The store was closing and I just decided to buy the assets and stay in the same location.” By the spring of 2015, Moda Consignment expanded into a much larger space in Inglewood, giving Sharon the room to add a men’s section.

I normally take my clothing to a different store but thought I would try Moda, as it is near my workplace. My first impression was how insanely rude and cranky the owner was, but decided to power through. Well, my massive bag of high end clothing only yielded me $60 - and she basically sold all of it. Not sure what is going on here... Normally I'll get $200-300 back. She was also rude when I picked up my last bit of money and cranked at her poor employee. NEVER AGAIN.

Regan, so sorry you had this experience and wish you had brought it up at the time. As you were told our pricing structure is such that items are marked down by 25, 50 and 75% at regular interval. Had you asked we could have looked to see how much each item actually sold for. PS, I do not have any employees???
A small place with an amazing selection of CLEAN, quality clothes, shoes & accessories. There are always new items @ fair prices...when I consign with Moda I use my credit to shop in store & it's like having my own walk in closet :) I would definately recommend shopping & consigning here...I LOVE MODA!!
This is a great little shop that always has new stock, great choices, and awesome customer service! The pricing is great so you never feel guilty for spending :)
Wow it is !!!........for a small shop off 58th ave.....I have found my treasure shop.....I can't ever go into Moda without some sort of treasure....Just bought the most beautiful BeBe full length coat for a steel of a deal.....brand new....wow again....Sharon is always there to help and talk and is open when no one else is......wow....check her out as ladies you won't be disappointed.....yes and she's open Sundays....thank you! Moda has private shopping parties for you and your guests. I booked one and everyone loved it. Sharron brought in snacks and punch for us and we shopped our hearts out in private. Great fun for everyone with lots of selection and a fantastic 'hostess'. I will book one again! MarlaH

I love this store! Sharon is wonderful! The prices are very reasonable and Sharon is very helpful. She altered a dress for me and it looks great. There is a good variety of clothing, jewellry and accessories!
Moda Consignment is a great place to shop. Clean, Neat, Well displayed items and at very fair prices. The owner always has the time to chat with you and is very very helpful and friendly. Formal dresses, jeans, some of the best accessories and purses you will find are here at Moda. Great little place to shop and find that perfect outfit !
The business owner is friendly and relaxed. Lots of parking. The clothes I hung and well organized, that is shoes are arranged in order of size, clothes are arranged based on type. The shop is clean............oh, and the best part.............the clothes and accessories are well priced. As a frequent consignment shopper, all over Calgary........Moda Consignment gets my "two thumbs up"!!
