History Foundation Baptist Church of Calgary was founded as a church planting ministry in June of 1988. Pastor Bud Talbert planted the church under the sponsorship of the Gospel Fellowship Association Mission of Canada. The church congregation adopted a Covenant, Convictions, and a Constitution in April 1990, and the church constituted the first membership at a chartering service held July 19, 1990. Pastor Talbert stepped down in 2008 so that he could fulfill God's call to plant the foundation Institute in Edmonton.
