Springtime treats abound at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver during Easter Afternoon Tea at the Top. Throw on your finest Easter bonnet and head on up to the 15th floor of this iconic downtown landmark to indulge in a traditional English tea service, which runs from 12:30 to 3:30 pm on Sunday, March 27. Elegant tiered towers will be adorned with dainty finger sandwiches, buttery scones and pastel-coloured Easter sweets from the in-house pastry shop. Guests will also receive handmade chocolate eggs that might contain a special prize.
In operation since 1939, this iconic Vancouver landmark has been welcoming discerning guests to its many rooms (556 traditional rooms, plus an additional 37 suites) for decades. The convenient location in the heart of downtown provides guests with easy access to world-class shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities nearby. Of course, with Absolute Spa, Notch8 restaurant, two grand ballrooms, a swimming pool, health club and English tea service all on-site, there's really no reason to venture off the premises.
Afternoon tea is synonymous with luxury, and nowhere else in the city oozes Old World charm quite like the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Their signature Tea at the Top is an eye-watering $54 but such extravagance is rewarded with exotic finger sandwiches, Dungeness crab cakes, foraged mushroom tartlets and many more savoury delights. The sweets – financier cakes, macarons and mille-feuille – are just as elegant. For a special occasion, this tradition – now taken on the 15th floor with gorgeous views of the city – is a real treat.
